Katja is passionate about working with college students on their path to college and career success. She has a history of building and designing programs driven by outcomes, youth voices, and research. In her last position with College Possible as a National Lead for Program Design & Network Engagement, she led strategic program design for over 10,000 students across 7 different cities. Before working at College Possible, Katja spent over 4 years working directly with youth in her home state of North Carolina with the Carolina College Advising Corps and GEAR UP. Working directly with high school students to help them gain access to college was one of the most rewarding experiences of her career. Katja has now lived in Minnesota for over 6 years and enjoys winter walks with her husband and dog in the snow. She holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Education Policy and Leadership with a minor in Program Evaluation from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities.
