Leslie Rubio

Leslie was a student at the University of St. Thomas studying Human Resource Management while working at Target part-time.  She was introduced to UpTurnships through her academic advisor.  Through UpTurnships, she was able to secure an internship opportunity with Marsh McLennan Agency in Minneapolis as a Human Resource Intern in the summer of 2022.  Leslie successfully completed her summer internship and was asked to extend her internship into the fall.  She graduated this past December with a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and immediately accepted a full-time position with Marsh McLennan Agency as a Learning and Development Coordinator.  

When asked how UpTurnships have impacted her, she said, “it was one of the best decisions I have made in my career path because it provided me insights on how important and powerful networking is. This program allowed me to strive in my internship that led to a full-time job offer. I learned many valuable skill sets that I know will come in handy as I navigate this new chapter in my life.
